Metal Gear Solid 5 Online Adds New “Survival” Mode With New Patch

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain’s online mode Metal Gear Online today added Survival mode. As announced previously, this is a squad-based mode in which teams of six compete towards five-match win streaks to earn rewards.

Everyone can try Survival mode 10 times per week (reset every Tuesday), while people who bought the Cloaked in Silence expansion pack can play as much as they want. You can learn more about the mode in GameSpot’s previous coverage.

Survival Mode comes to Metal Gear Online today as part of the game’s latest patch. It fixes a number of bugs and makes a variety of balance changes such as tweaks to trigger detection conditions for claymores. Additionally, the influence of latency has been reduced for player actions, Konami said.
